Loss of Pilot License

Loss of license insurance is designed for professional civil aviation pilots with the corresponding flight license. It covers the contingencies of permanent total disability (loss of permanent license) and work disability (loss of temporary license).

Suppose the insured loses their license permanently due to an accident or illness that makes it impossible for them to carry out their activity as a commercial aviation pilot. In that case, the insurer will pay the sum insured reflected in the schedule within the terms, limits, exclusions, and conditions contained in the policy.

In case of permanent license loss, the insurer’s maximum liability is the sum insured stated in the policy.

There is also the possibility of including cover for psychiatric illnesses, psychological illnesses, or mental disorders in addition to the cover contracted in the policy with a surcharge on the premium.

If the insured person suffers sick leave as a consequence of an accident or illness lasting longer than the excess period, the insurer will pay the indemnity.
